There will be changes to the focus and quantity of 3AMK study offering during the upcoming contract period of 3AMK. The changes are affected by 3AMK’s new strategic goal and reduced strategic funding. The strategic goal of 3AMK’s contract period 2025–2028 is to support the integration and employment of international students in Helsinki Metropolitan area’s ecosystem.
In the future, the 3AMK study offering will be compiled primarily with international students in mind, as well as their integration and employment. As a result, the number of studies offered is reduced; only some of the unique 3AMK co-production implementations will be continued, and the universities’ own implementations will no longer be offered through 3AMK.
In addition to studies that support 3AMK’s new goal, the 3AMK study offering will include a few other unique 3AMK co-production implementations and possible new studies. The contents and target groups of the spring and summer studies can be viewed on the 3AMK website at the turn of November and December.
In the future, students can utilize selected implementations of Haaga-Helia, Laurea and Metropolia through the cross-institutional study service. The selection includes online studies. These studies can be found in the student’s Peppi/Pakki/OMA. Student can browse cross-institutional studies on the Study selection tab of the PSP/HOPS by selecting cross-institutional studies. After this, studies can be searched by name or filtered, for example, by university or 3AMK network.
There will also be changes to the 3AMK website. The studies will be divided according to semesters. The spring and summer 2025 studies will be published on the 3AMK website at the turn of November and December under the heading Studies. The Studies page also contains answers to frequently asked questions (FAQ) related to 3AMK studies and information about 3AMK library services. The Studies page will open on the 3AMK website during November.
As a result of the changes taking place in 3AMK’s operations, 3AMK’s approaches will be lightened. For Learning Excellence, the change means that the role of Head of Development will end at the end of 2024.
