The fall’s development seminar of 3AMK (the strategic alliance between Haaga-Helia, Laurea and Metropolia) was held on Thursday 19th of September at the Haaga-Helia Pasila campus. Members of the 3AMK staff and representatives of student unions from Helga, Laureamko and Metka attended the event.
The 3AMK development seminar was opened with a speech by Teemu Kokko the principal of Haaga-Helia. In his speech, Kokko recalled the early days of 3AMK cooperation and looked to the upcoming contract period through the current situation. In the upcoming contract period 2025-2028, the focus will be on supporting the integration and employment of international students in the metropolitan ecosystem.
3AMK Chief Process Officer Antti Vettenranta opened to the participants more precisely what the new strategic goal and reduced funding means in practice. On this basis, participants discussed in small groups how to measure the achievement of the strategic goal.
The speeches related to the group work highlighted the differences between different fields, the importance of qualitative indicators, the significance of involving students in planning, and how all students do not fit in the same mold. In addition, the speakers emphasized communality and cooperation not only with students but also with companies. The ideas that have emerged in the group work are intended to be utilized when planning the upcoming contract period.
3AMK Moves -project and 3AMK wellbeing services were also involved in the seminar. 3AMK Moves started its activities at the seminar and wellbeing services told what they had planned for the upcoming contract period.
