Do you already know the basics of Finnish? Would you like to polish your Finnish skills after your first Finnish course?
In this course, you get to brush up your skills after the first Finnish course. The course is designed to strengthen your skills before moving on to your second Finnish course. In this course, you will revise the basic structures of Finnish, and you have a chance to improve your listening skills. The course is aimed at students who already know the very basics of Finnish. The level of the course is A1.1.
Remember to make sure with your University of Applied Sciences that the course can be included in your degree.
This is a unique 3AMK collaboration course coordinated by Haaga-Helia UAS.
This course was co-created in a project by Haaga-Helia, Laurea and Metropolia. The project (Pääkaupunkiseudun korkeakoulujen kieltenopetus) was funded by the Ministry of Education and Culture.

Course content
The aim of the course is to strengthen your Finnish language skills after your first Finnish course. You will revise and get a lot of practice in some essential structures of Finnish. You will also improve your skills in listening to Finnish. After completing this course, you will have a stronger basis for your future Finnish studies, and you will be well prepared for your next Finnish course.
Having completed the course, you will have
- a strong basic vocabulary
- clear understanding of some crucial structures of Finnish
- good skills in listening to Finnish.
