Mental health during job search -workshop

Job hunting in a foreign country can be a challenging experience, especially for internationals. The multiple rejections and (financial) uncertainty can lead to self-doubt, burnout, anxiety and depression. In the meantime, job hunting is about selling your professional skills, being motivated and looking confident, which can be very difficult when struggling inside.

Learning how to deal with anxiety and stress, how to find confidence and bravery after several rejections is not a luxury, but a necessity in job hunting.

In this workshop we will discuss practical tips about how to build on one´s strengths and reinforce their wellbeing when struggling with a new environment and finding a job. The workshop will have hands-on exercises, that will help participants to bring home something concrete.

Join us on Monday 4 November 2024 at 14.00-15.30 at Haaga-Helia, Pasila campus, room 3012. You don’t need to sign up beforehand.

The workshop is led by Eszter Pienluoto, former international jobseeker, trained psychologist and career counselor of Haaga-Helia.
